 Quality Assurance Program
How does SNHBA’s National Housing Quality Assurance Program benefit the new home buyer?
The Southern Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA) has 700 plus members committed to providing the best housing, at the most affordable price, for all Southern Nevada residents. To this end, they implemented a National Housing Quality Assurance Program (NHQAP) that is a partnership between local home builders and trade contractors designed to enhance the quality of homes through upgraded training, education and certification of the trade contractors.
The NHQAP is principle compliance with the International Standardized Organization 9000 practices and focuses on four steps:
- PLAN - Planning the job answering the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How Questions
- DO - Doing what is promised at every stage of construction
- CHECK - Checking that everything is proceeding as planned
- ACT - Acting to improve processes, to avoid nonrecurring problems and increase quality
